Meet Kori Ridges
If ever there were an unsung hero, it would be Kori. As a mother of 11 children, she has spent her adult life giving, serving, teaching, comforting, sacrificing, and showing up for the people who need her most. Her love for her family is steady, selfless, and fierce, and those who know her see the quiet strength it takes to keep giving so much of yourself every single day.
Kori does not seek attention or recognition. She simply keeps going. She loves deeply, works hard, carries more than most people ever see, and still finds a way to make each person in her family feel known and loved.
To her children, her family, and the people blessed to know her, Kori is more than a mom. She is a steady place, a source of love, and a true Everyday Hero.

Meet Drew Garland
Drew Garland is proof that limitations do not define a person’s potential. Born with Down syndrome, Drew has faced challenges many people will never fully understand, but he has met them with determination, resilience, and an infectious positive attitude that inspires everyone around him. Through hard work, perseverance, and a genuine love for bringing people together, Drew has built a remarkable platform through his social media brand, @down.rightdelicious.
What makes Drew an everyday hero is not simply his success, but the way he uses it to lift others. Through cooking, humor, and authentic storytelling, he brings joy, encouragement, and laughter to families across the country while quietly breaking down stereotypes about what people with intellectual disabilities can achieve. His videos show the world that individuals with disabilities can pursue their dreams, build businesses, create meaningful connections, and live with purpose, confidence, and joy.
Drew’s journey has never been about seeking recognition. He simply loves sharing great food, making people smile, and living life to the fullest. In doing so, he has become a role model for individuals with disabilities, their families, and anyone facing obstacles of their own. Every day, Drew reminds us that courage is not about being extraordinary — it is about showing up, being yourself, and refusing to let challenges define your future. That is why Drew Garland is an Everyday Hero.

Meet Andrea & Dan
Andrea and Dan Kotter are proof that a family can be built with love, faith, grit, and an absolute refusal to quit. Together, they have faced paralysis, chronic pain, Multiple Sclerosis, hospital stays, medical uncertainty, and the daily weight of raising a large family while navigating physical limitations most people will never fully understand. But through it all, they have kept building — their home, their family, their platform, and a life rooted in purpose.
Known online as @thewheelchairdad, Dan and Andrea share the real, beautiful, messy parts of disability, parenting, marriage, construction, creativity, setbacks, and perseverance. Dan continues to build, renovate, parent, and create from a wheelchair, while Andrea brings strength, steadiness, love, and resilience to a home built on faith, teamwork, and the decision to keep moving forward together.
What makes Andrea and Dan everyday heroes is not that life has been easy, but that they continue to show up when it is hard. They cherish their children, adapt when life changes, laugh when they can, keep going when things hurt, and remind others that purpose does not disappear when circumstances change. To their family, their community, and the many people encouraged by their example, Andrea and Dan Kotter are true Everyday Heroes.

Meet Mike Allred
Mike is the last person to consider himself a hero. Mike is the kind of man who runs toward danger when others are running from it. As a deputy with the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 handler to Azula, Mike has dedicated his life to protecting others, serving his community, and standing beside his fellow officers when it matters most. On August 17, 2025, Mike and Azula responded to a domestic violence call in Tremonton, Utah — a night that would forever mark the community and take the lives of Sgt. Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada.
Mike and Azula were both wounded that night, but their courage, training, and commitment to duty reflected the very best of public service. Even in the middle of danger, Mike’s focus was not on himself. It was on protecting others, supporting his fellow officers, and doing everything he could to help bring a tragic situation under control. His actions showed the quiet strength of someone who understands that service is not about recognition — it is about responsibility, sacrifice, and love for the people you are called to protect.
Since that night, Mike has continued to show what everyday heroism looks like. He has healed, carried forward the memory of Lee and Eric, stayed deeply grateful for the support of his community, and continued looking for ways to serve. To his family, his friends, his fellow officers, and the people of Box Elder County, Mike Allred is more than a survivor. He is a protector, a servant, and a true Everyday Hero.
