We were tired of choosing between products that smelled great and products that were actually clean. So we decided to build something better — simple formulas, natural ingredients, and products that do exactly what they’re supposed to do.

LIFE IS A HIGHWAY

The idea for The Rub didn’t start in a lab or a boardroom. It started on a long drive north, headed toward Alaska.

Miles of road, too much time to think, and one realization we couldn’t shake: men’s personal care is still treated like an afterthought. You can find products that smell good but are packed with junk — or products that are clean but feel boring, weak, or over-engineered.

Somehow, personal care products became “good enough” and complacency was the norm.

We didn’t buy that.
